ABOUT OUR CLASSES...
Ballet:
The foundation of all other dance forms. It lends itself well to improvement of posture and overall dance technique. Classes are based on the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, taught by a qualified teacher who is registered with the Royal Academy of Dance. Beginner to advanced classes are available.

Pre-school Dance:
Imaginative story-based classes exploring various themes incorporating different types and levels of movement. This is an enjoyable class for 3 to 5 year olds who love to move and use their imagination. Improved coordination and balance will be attained as well as an increased awareness of the world around them.

Christian Hip Hop:
Learn the latest moves while listening to popular, contemporary Christian artists. You will have fun and keep fit as you dance to positively influential songs.

Worship Dance:
A class designed to educate students about this form of worship. Lessons will consist of Bible scripture reading and study as well as instruction in worship dance movement. No experience is necessary, just a love of dance and a heart to worship God. Students are asked to bring their own Bible to each class. A Bible will be provided for anyone who does not have one. We will be using a tambourine as part of the class, so students will need to provide their own.

Tap:
A fun and energetic form of dance that develops musicality and rhythm. Students will dance to a variety of music that may include "Big Band", "Broadway" show tunes, Christian contemporary, jazz, and other styles that are predominantly rhythmical. Classes will be structured to incorporate elements of the Canadian Dance Teachers' Association tap syllabus.

Lyrical:
Combining modern dance and ballet, lyrical dancers learn how to interpret emotions and expressively present choreography. Students registered in a lyrical class must also attend a weekly ballet class at WellSpring.

Jazz:
A class incorporating dance technique and high energy movement to a variety of upbeat, positive music and songs. The students will study this lively form of dance in a structured weekly lesson developing their skills in a safe and fun environment.
